William has over 35 years of experience counseling clients on real estate transactions involving the acquisition, development, leasing, financing, and disposition of commercial property. His wide range of experience with a variety of property types – retail, office, industrial, warehouse and multi-family properties – makes him an efficient and goal-focused advocate for achieving clients’ desired outcomes. That breadth of experience allows him to capably represent clients coming at a transaction from different perspectives.
He represents real estate developers, retail users, private equity funds in connection with transactions and private equity portfolio companies as they manage their real estate needs, whether through ownership or leasing.

- Represented a leading financial Institution in the acquisition through affiliates of office buildings in Florida, Texas and North Carolina.
- Represented a regional food distribution company and affiliated grocery store chain in the acquisition and development of grocery-anchored retail centers in North and South Carolina.
- Assisted the corporate workplace department of a national financial institution with lease amendments and new leases for its portfolio of its urban and suburban office properties.
- Represented private equity portfolio companies and other users as tenants in negotiation of office, industrial and warehouse leases.
- Represented affiliates of a leading national real estate investment firm as local counsel for the acquisition of multi-family and industrial properties in North Carolina.
- Represented a financial risk management firm in negotiation of an office lease for its regional headquarters.
